Lockdown 2
02 Nov 2020
To all members of DD
Please find below a message from the Committee, following this evening's meeting.
As you will all be aware, the government is reintroducing an England-wide lockdown from this Thursday (5/11), including the closure of sports clubs. We are so disappointed that, after getting all of our sessions up and running in a COVID safe way, we are now required to suspend all training.
Our Tuesday and Wednesday sessions will run as normal this week - if any swimmer ONLY swims on a Thursday or a Friday and would like the chance to have one more session before lockdown, please reply to this email, letting us know which sessions you could make and we will let you know when we can fit you in.
With regards to payments, if you are able to stop your November payment from going out please do so. We will get in touch about resuming payments once we are given the go ahead to return to training. If it is too late to stop your payment, or if you would prefer not to stop it, then it will be credited to your account and can be used towards membership fees, due in January.
As mentioned at our AGM, we recognise that physical exercise and being part of our community, are important for the mental well-being of all. Therefore, we are planning to keep in contact and to run some live fitness and fun sessions whilst we are unable to meet up face-to-face. We will keep you informed via e-mail and our Facebook page - if you are not already a member of this closed group, please send us a request.
Stay safe, and we all hope to be back in the pool as soon as possible.
